Picture 4Pop Life, Art in a Material World

Tate Modern
1 October 2009  –  17 January 2010

“Andy Warhol claimed “Good business is the best art.” Tate Modern brings together artists from the 1980s onwards who have embraced commerce and the mass media to build their own ‘brands’. Pop Life includes Andy Warhol, Damien Hirst, Jeff Koons, Takashi Murakami and more. *Please be aware that some works in this exhibition are of a challenging and sexual nature. Admission to three of the rooms is restricted to over-18s.”

Picture 6Serpentine Gallery

Kensington Gardens
London W2 3XA

“Serpentine Gallery is one of London’s best-loved galleries for modern and contemporary art. Its Exhibition, Architecture, Education and Public Programmes attracts up to 800,000 visitors in any one year and admission is free.” Design Real is both a groundbreaking presentation of contemporary design and a unique insight into the mind of its curator, German designer Konstantin Grcic, one of the most influential figures in 21st-century design. Grcic has selected objects currently in serial, industrial production that push boundaries in form and function.
